Mavibot Smart site: a website that answers questions on the page

Short answer: on October 7, 2026, Mavibot added Smart site, a switch in the site builder that puts an AI assistant on your website. The assistant shows suggested questions at the bottom of the page and changes them as the visitor scrolls from section to section. The suggestions are generated automatically, and tapping one starts a conversation with the assistant. Visitors can also type their own question, and every chat appears in your Dialogs next to your messenger conversations. There you can tell from the visitor's questions which section of the site they're on, and step in yourself if the AI can't solve the problem.

A visitor with a question on a normal site can scroll back through the page or give up. Smart site gives them a third option. We tried it on a demo site.

What Smart site does

When you switch on Smart site, the page gets a chat bar fixed to the bottom of the screen with an "Ask anything..." field. Above it sits a pair of suggested questions, and they depend on where the visitor is.

On our demo site, a fictional coffee roaster called Ember & Origin, the top of the page offers "Where are the beans from?" and "How fast do you ship?". Scroll down to the section about working with farmers, and the suggestions become "Why do you work directly with farmers?" and "How often do you roast?". The page also tells the visitor that the section they're looking at is already taken into account, so a short question is enough.

You don't write the suggestions: the site generates them for each section. Each one is also a button, and tapping it opens a conversation with the AI assistant, so the visitor doesn't have to think of a first question. You can try it on the demo site.

What you see on your side

Chats from the site arrive in the Dialogs section of your project, the same place as conversations from your messengers. You read the dialog there, and you can join in and reply yourself at any moment.

The Dialogs section with a website chat: a visitor asks about the price, the AI assistant answers and collects a phone number

That matters most for questions a page can't answer, like "how much does it cost?" on a site with no listed prices. Here the question reaches you as a dialog, along with whatever the visitor typed next, such as a phone number.

What surprised us most in testing was the context. Dialogs doesn't show a page address, but the visitor's questions give away the section they're on, because the suggestions are tied to sections. If the AI assistant doesn't solve their problem, you can step in and help with exactly the information they were looking at, so they get live help on the spot and nobody has to ask "which page do you mean?"

How to turn it on

  1. Open the Sites section and choose to create a site.
  2. In the site builder, find the Smart site toggle in the top bar, next to Save.
  3. Switch it on.

Teach the assistant about your site

Before publishing, we'd give the assistant the basics:

  • what you sell and who it's for;
  • services, prices and what's included;
  • the details visitors ask about most, such as delivery times, terms and how to book;
  • what it should do when it doesn't know, for example ask for a phone number and pass the chat to you.

To set up your own assistant, follow our AI shopping assistant guide, which walks through roles and instructions step by step. If you're not sure which role fits your site, AI chatbot roles explained compares them for sales, support and booking.

When it's the right choice, and when it isn't

A smart site fits a landing page or small business site where the offer takes some explaining: several services, prices that depend on the job, delivery or booking terms. The suggested questions show a visitor what they can ask, and you get a conversation instead of a closed tab.

It is less useful on a one-screen page that already says everything. If a visitor has two questions and both are answered above the fold, a chat bar adds little. We'd also not rely on it alone for anything that needs a firm answer, like a final quote. In the Dialogs example above, the assistant listed what the price depends on and asked for a phone number so a person could follow up with a quote.

Because the assistant talks to your customers, it's worth telling visitors that it's an AI. Our note on the EU AI Act explains why we'd add a line like that to the first message.

Try it on your own site

If you already have a Mavibot project, open a site, switch on Smart site, add your product details to the assistant, and then ask it what your customers ask you most often. Start free if you don't have a project yet, or see what else Mavibot's chatbot builder can do.

Frequently asked questions

What is Smart site in Mavibot?

Smart site is a toggle in the Mavibot site builder that adds an AI assistant to your website. It shows suggested questions for each section of the page, and visitors can also type their own.

How do I turn on Smart site?

Open the Sites section, create a site, and switch on the Smart site toggle in the top bar of the site builder.

Do I have to write the suggested questions myself?

No. The suggestions are generated automatically for each section of the site. Tapping one starts a conversation with the AI assistant.

Yes, from their questions. The suggested questions are tied to sections, so a question like "How often do you roast?" shows which section the visitor is on, and you can step in and help with the information they were looking at if the AI assistant can't solve the problem.

Can I add Smart site to a website built outside Mavibot?

Smart site is a feature of sites built in the Mavibot site builder. For a site built elsewhere, use the live chat widget.

What should I tell the AI assistant about my site?

Give it the details a visitor would ask about: what you offer, services, prices, delivery or booking terms, and what to do when it doesn't know the answer.
